Assistant Director of Spotlight Dance Studio,Tia Teamer, is a recent graduate from Loyola University New Orleans. She has over 16 years of experience in dance. Her principle dance genre is tap. While in college, Tia was a member of Loyola University's Dance Team, Golden Eyes, for three years. She also served as a student ambassador for the office of admission and the first fraternity and sorority life intern. She is also a instructor for the New Orleans Ballet Association. Tia is now attending graduate school in the fall to pursue a master's degree in higher education with a focus in student affairs.
Kennedi Monet DeJean is a 19 year old native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Lusher Charter School. While in high school, she received a Certificate of Artistry from Lusher Charter. She is a current Junior at Tulane University majoring in Sociology. She has been dancing for 17 years. She also has experience in cheerleading where she was the captain of Lusher’s Cheerleading Team in 2017. She was in the graduating class from Spotlight Dance Nola in 2017. After graduating, she started her first teaching job at Spotlight Dance Nola at the age of 17. Kennedi’s principle dance genres is jazz, ballet, and lyrical. She also recently learned to teach tap and hip hop. Along with teaching, Kennedi also serves as the studio manager.
